Optional Events Stingray City Catamaran Excursion Friday, February 6, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Enjoy a three-hour sail aboard the Spirit of Ppalu with a stop at the world famous Stingray City. Designed with your comfort in mind, the Spirit of Ppalu, is approximately 65 feet long and features plenty of cabin space, a trampoline for sunbathing, ample shade, and restroom facilities. The captain and crew will wisk you away to the world-famous Stingray City for a day of snorkeling and fun in the sun. You will treasure your opportunity to "play" with the Southern Stingrays as the crew feed them morsels of fresh seafood. A cool rum punch is the perfect end to a perfect day. Cost is $75 per person; please check the appropriate box on the registration form. East Side Island Tour Friday, February 6, 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a four-hour tour of the east side of the island which travels through George Town, the Capital of Grand Cayman, and along residential South Sound Road. The tour continues past Caybrew Brewery to Pedro St. James Castle, the birthplace of democracy and the oldest stone building in the Cayman Islands. At Pedro St. James, you can enjoy a multimedia theatre, take pictures and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the gardens. The tour continues through the district of Bodden Town, the first Capital of the Cayman Islands, where you can view traditional Cayman-style homes. The tour then stops at The Queen Elizabeth Botanical Park, which was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on February 27th, 1994. This park features exotic and indigenous plant species, and endangered Cayman Blue Iguanas. The Cayman Islands Brewery is the final stop for a taste of Cayman's own beer. Optional Event: Deep Sea Fishing Friday, February 7, 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. With a combination of luck and skill, fishermen are pleased with the beautiful waters around Grand Cayman. Boats go no further than 12 miles offshore and lines are in the water 20 minutes after leaving the dock. The warm Caribbean waters present favorable fishing conditions year-round. Fish caught include Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Dolphin (the fish not the mammal) and Wahoo. All catches are released at the Captain's discretion. A boxed lunch is included. Cost is $200 Per person; please check the appropriate box on the registration form.
