Old Mission Peninsula Wine Tour

Back by popular demand! Depart for the Old Mission Peninsula on Saturday, June 14, 1:00-5:00 p.m. and enjoy an afternoon of winery tours and tastings. The deep waters of Lake Michigan nearly encircle Old Mission Peninsula, tempering the surrounding air temperatures, protecting the vines from frost and deep freezes, and prolonging the growing season. This unique microclimate allows the successful growth of fruit in a climate otherwise considered unsuitable for delicate vines. Your first stop will be to sample the wines at Peninsula Cellars, followed by the multiple-medal-winning Brys Estate. Chateau Chantal is next, with its breathtaking views of East and West Bays. Continuing up the peninsula, you will stop for a photo oppportunity at the Old Mission Lighthouse, then begin the trip back down the peninsula, making a stop at family-run Bower's Harbor, ending at Chateau Grand Traverse, with its 100 percent European vinifera vineyards. Space is limited. The price is $50 per person and includes transportation and admission to all wineries and attractions.
