About ABI

ABI Internships Available

ABI internships are available in many areas of the association and are designed to allow students and grads to gain experience in the world of professional associations. During the internship, interns may be involved in one or more of these areas: accounting, publications, Internet research, planning meetings and seminars or marketing the association services through direct mail, research and reporting. The internships usually involve some level of administrative work, including assisting in answering or directing questions from our members, the press and the general public.

Typically there are 3 internships available:

  • Membership: Works with our Membership Department (4 person staff) on marketing, member recruitment and membership retention
  • Accounting: Supports various aspects of our accounting department and the accounting process
  • Meetings: Assists our 4 meeting planners on all aspects of meeting preparations for the 15+ annual conferences, meetings and seminars

Internships are paid. ABI offers full-time summer positions and full— or part-time fall and spring internships. For more information, please contact Mary Kleppinger, Director of Administration. Resumés are accepted by email or fax (703-739-1060).
