6th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference
May 17, 2004
The Millennium Hotel Broadway
145 West 44th Street
New York City

Join us for the 6th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference in New York!

Now in its sixth year, the New York City Bankruptcy Conference remains the most popular insolvency workshop in America's Financial Center. The conference returns to its new home at the Millennium Broadway Conference Center/Hudson Theatre. Bringing together a faculty of S.D.N.Y. and E.D.N.Y. bankruptcy judges and practitioners from the top national insolvency firms, this day-long educational forum will appeal to both experienced and new practitioners. The flexible, repeating format allows you to customize your personal learning experience.

New this year is "Bankruptcy Fundamentals: Nuts & Bolts for Young Practitioners," offered on the Friday before the conference (add this to your registration for only $95). This program will be held at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. At this special program, an outstanding faculty of judges and practitioners will explain the fundamentals of bankruptcy. Separate consumer and business tracks will allow new practitioners to customize their educational experience. Ramp up your young associates, or expand the understanding of your experienced staff with this one-day primer program.

This year's conference allows practitioners to earn up to 6.25 hours of CLE/CPE credit, including 1.25 hours of ethics credit, and will offer the following topics:

  • Muddy Waters: Wading Through Deepening Insolvency
  • The Troubled Company and Its Pension Obligations
  • The World of Non-core Professional Fees in Chapter 11
  • Intercreditor Issues with Multiple Secured Parties
  • DIP and Exit Financing
  • Closely Held Companies: Issues for Managers and Their Professionals
  • A Guide to Buying and Selling Assets
  • The CRO: Quarterback of the Restructuring. Where Do the Roles and Responsibilities Collide Among Retained Professionals?
  • Wearing Too Many Hats—Can You Ethically Do What You Want in the Case?
  • How to Stop the Bleeding: Consumer Panel

This year's conference also features the annual Views from the Bankruptcy Bench with judges from the Southern District of New York.
