16th Annual Winter Leadership Conference

December 2–4, 2004

Scottsdale, Arizona

Join ABI in Arizona for the Winter Leadership Conference!

Now in its 16th year, the annual ABI Winter Leadership Conference returns to the Camelback Inn, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Nestled on 125 acres of naturally landscaped desert, Camelback Inn is an authentic Southwestern resort, with all the world-class amenities offered by the unique collection of JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, the most distinctive properties carrying the Marriott name.

This year’s conference offers up to 12 hours of CLE/CPE credit, including three hours of Ethics! This year’s program will include:

  • The “Supremes” and Other Hot Acts: The Year in Review and Emerging Issues in 2005
  • The Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors Presents: Outsourcing and Offshoring—Panacea or Pandora’s Box
  • What Are All of These People Doing?: A Debate on the Roles of Different Financial Advisors in Chapter 11 Cases
  • The “Third Way”: Federal Receivership as a Creditor Option
  • Here We Go Again: The Complexities of Serial Chapter 11 Cases
  • Whose Money Is It Anyway? The Battle Over D&O Insurance Proceeds
  • Will There Be Money in the Till? (And Other Questions): Secured Creditor Issues in Chapter 13 Cases
  • What Are We Fighting For? ADR & Mediation Options in Bankruptcy Cases (a two part presentation)
  • Not That Pretty: Ethical Issues in “Beauty Contests” and the Solicitation of DIP and Committee Work by Professionals
  • Problem Clients and Lawyer Dilemmas: Ethical Issues in Consumer Cases
  • Plus our featured Luncheon Program: “The 2004 Election” with political commentator and author Michael Barone

The popular stand-alone program, “Bankruptcy Fundamentals—Nuts & Bolts for Young Practitioners” will be offered on Wednesday, December 2. This program, filled to capacity at the 2003 Winter Leadership Conference, features an outstanding faculty of judges, professors and practitioners. Separate consumer and business tracks allow new practitioners to customize their educational experience.

Get involved in ABI’s committee meetings and earn additional CLE credit! Committee sessions are open to all members, so be sure to attend those that interest you.

Register by October 8th and save!
