Michael Barone

Michael Barone is America’s most astute political commentator and a bestselling author. He will provide his sharp analysis of the 2004 election during this luncheon program. Barone is Senior Writer for U.S. News & World Report and since 1971, has been the principal author of The Almanac of American Politics, published by National Journal. His books include “The New Americans: How the Melting Pot Can Work Again” and his latest, “Hard America, Soft America.” A nationally syndicated columnist, he appears in the New York Times, Washington Post, Weekly Standard, New Republic, National Review, American Spectator, Economist and Daily Telegraph of London. Barone is also a political contributor for the Fox News Channel. He graduated from Harvard and Yale Law School, serving as editor of both the Harvard Crimson and Yale Law Journal.
