Accomodations
Maison St. Charles Hotel (1319 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans,
Louisiana 70130)
ABI’s host hotel, Maison St. Charles is located on the St.
Charles Avenue Streetcar Line, the oldest continuously operating

Central Business District, Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans Arena,
Convention Center, Lee Circle Arts District, National D-Day Museum, the

Modern in every detail, many of our buildings nevertheless date back
to a time when life was a bit slower, more genteel, and not quite so
demanding. Then there was a deep appreciation of lovely surroundings,
well-kept gardens, a certain sense of style and an attentive level of
service. Guest rooms shown are typical of the accommodations at the
Maison St. Charles.
ABI has reserved a block of hotel rooms at the hotel Maison St.
Charles for $79 per/night being held until April 23. Call

Symposium Details
Symposium at Tulane Law School (Weinmann Hall, 6329 Freret
Street)
Tulane Law School’s facilities include John Giffen Weinmann
Hall, a 160,000-square-foot building opened in 1995, and the annex
immediately adjacent to it, housing the Law School Career Development
Office. Another annex building a few blocks away houses the Continuing
Legal Education Department and accomodations for short-term visiting
faculty. Weinmann Hall is located at 6329 Freret Street between Calhoun
Street and McAlister Drive.
Weinmann Hall was designed and created solely for the needs of the
Law School. It houses faculty, administration and student organization
offices, as well as the Law Clinic. It also houses Tulane's outstanding
library and computer facilities.
The Tulane University campus on which the law school is located is a
110-acre space in the uptown residential section of New Orleans. The
campus is filled with flat green lawns, lined with azaleas and magnolias
and southern oaks, all harmonizing with arched gray stone and pillared
red brick buildings. The setting invites outdoor study and activity.
Recent additions to the campus include the Reily Student Recreation
Center, the Newcomb Art Gallery, and the Law School building itself,
John Giffen Weinmann Hall.
The University campus faces St. Charles Avenue, a street lined for
miles with mansions. Directly across St. Charles Avenue is Audubon Park.
The neighborhood, while residential, contains enough commercial activity
to make it enormously lively-coffee houses, grocery stores and
drugstores, laundries, restaurants and bookstores abound.
