ABI Copyright Policy and Permissions
All content on ABIWORLD (www.abiworld.org, www.abi.org), including text, graphics, images, logos and HTMLs, are property of the American Bankruptcy Institute and carry copyright protection under U.S. copyright law http://www.copyright.gov/title17/. Permission to use www.abiworld.org content may be granted via the Copyright Clearance Center www.copyright.com.

ABI members and authors can obtain permission and reprint rights at no charge by e-mailing permissions@abiworld.org. Please include:

In order to purchase and download a PDF file, a customer must agree to the Terms of Use for ABI Electronic Publications, as detailed below.
TERMS OF USE for American Bankruptcy Institute Electronic Content

1. APPLICATION. The American Bankruptcy Institute, a private nonprofit association is referred to herein as the "ABI."
2. COPYRIGHT. ABI owns all rights in the electronic publications and the copyrights therein displayed on this Web site. Copyright © American Bankruptcy Institute. All rights reserved.
3. PDF FILES: COPYING AND DISTRIBUTING. Users of this Web site accept and agree to the conditions specified in these Terms of Use. Substantial or systematic reproduction by Users is not permitted. Distributing or posting the PDF files is strictly prohibited without written permission of ABI.
4. ALTERATION; NOTICES. Users may not modify, adapt, transform, translate or create any derivative work based on any materials included in the bookstore or library, or otherwise use any such materials in a manner that would infringe the copyrights therein. Each PDF file of an ABI publication will include a Copyright Notice and unique tracking number specific to the User. The copyright notice, confirmation number, and any other notices or disclaimers may not be removed, obscured, or modified in any way.
5. DISCLAIMER. ABI and its officers, employees and agents do not accept any legal responsibility for errors, omissions or claims, nor do they provide any warranty, express or implied, with respect to information published in ABI books, digital or print format. In no event shall ABI be liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages. THE ABI EXPRESSLY EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY FOR BREACH OF ANY IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTY AS TO MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
6. USER WARRANTIES. Each User warrants that it will use reasonable efforts to ensure the security and integrity of each digital file, and will notify ABI promptly of any unauthorized use of the file of which they become aware. Any abuse of these Terms of Use will result in immediate cessation of access to ABI servers and may be pursed to the fullest extent permitted under applicable laws, treaties, and conventions.
7. CHANGE OF TERMS. ABI reserves the right to change, modify, or otherwise alter the terms of this license without prior notice to the user.
