Golf Tournament

Thursday, July 26, 1:00 p.m.

The annual Golf Tournament will be held at The Golf Club of Amelia Island, adjacent to the hotel. Designed by PGA tour veterans Mark McCumber and Gene Littler, the course presents players with the ultimate in pure golfing pleasure. The $185 fee for golf includes greens fee and cart, box lunch and beverage, and prizes. Please check the appropriate box on the registration form to play, and indicate your handicap.

Coastal Fishing

Thursday, July 26, 1:30 p.m

Whether you are a novice fisherman or a seasoned angler, if you are looking for a day of fun on the water, you will not be disappointed! Amelia Island’s captains will put you in the middle of the action. The $185 per person fee includes round-trip transportation from the Ritz-Carlton, all boat fees and gratuities, drinks and snacks. Remember to bring sunblock, a hat, soft-soled deck shoes and a strong back for fighting the “Big One”! This is approximately a 5 hour event. Fort George Island Tour

Numerous settlers have called this island home. The history of the island will be discovered as you are guided though ancient homes, including Kingsley Plantation. Spanish missionaries, plantation owners, slave traders, pirates, and millionaires have cast their shadows over this lovely place. Today, the island is heavily covered with an abundance of diverse flora and fauna. Fort George Inlet is one of the most picturesque places in all of Florida with its ever-changing watercolors and pristine beaches. Be exposed to the state’s best-kept secrets and get a glimpse into the great Florida winter getaway used by wealthy northerners until the mid 1940’s. The per person cost for this tour is $100 which includes round trip transportation, tour guide and gratuity. The tour takes approximately 4 hours. Let experienced guides teach you how to kayak along the many tidal creeks and waterways of our barrier island! As you arrive, the guides will help you choose a kayak that is suitable for your weight and height. Anyone under the age of 12 must be in a tandem with an adult. The per-person cost for this event is $150 which includes round trip transportation, kayaks, guide and gratuities. Remember your sunscreen and the appropriate footwear (your feet will get wet). Tennis Tournament

The clay courts of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island will be the site for our round-robin tournament. Join us at the courts for lunch, beverages and plenty of tennis. The $60 fee includes tournament fees, box lunch and beverage, and prizes. Please check the appropriate box on the registration form.

Clay Skeet Shooting Tournament

Join your ABI colleagues for some clay skeet shooting, sometimes referred to as “golf with a gun”. Sporting Clays, like trap and skeet, use traps and clay targets to duplicate, as far as possible, conditions and presentations you would normally find while hunting. The sporting course is laid out over a 10+ acre site, on a rough and hilly terrain. The path that shooters follow usually takes a circular or horseshoe shape enabling shooters to start and finish in roughly the same place. Targets are thrown from 10 to 14 shooting stations along the path. Our generous sponsor will be providing prizes for the highest and lowest scores and the highest score for a “first timer”. The per-person cost for this event is $150 per-person which includes round-trip transportation 100 shells & targets per person. Please check the appropriate box on the registration form.

Cumberland Island Hiking Tour

Relax on your sightseeing cruise to Cumberland Island. Enjoy a forty-five minute cruise aboard the "Cumberland Princess", and catch a glimpse of historic Fort Clinch and the backwaters and inlets of the St. Mary's River. Wildlife abounds both on land and in the water, and there is always a chance of sighting a dolphin! Visit majestic Cumberland Island, which is well known for its wildlife, natural settings, water fowl and wild horses. For thousands of years people have lived on Cumberland Island (actually only 30 permanent residents live there today), but never in such numbers as to permanently alter the character of the landscape. Revolutionary War hero General Greene purchased land on Cumberland Island in l783, and his widow constructed a four-story tabby home that she named Dungeness. Thomas Carnegie began building on Dungeness's foundations in l884 and the ruins of his mansion remain today. The vessel has an enclosed air conditioned first floor with large picture windows. There is an open deck above. The full tour takes approximately four hours. The $150 per-person fee includes the sightseeing cruise, the Cumberland Island hiking tour and round trip transportation. Horseback Riding on South Beach

Friday, July 27, 2:00 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.

Whether you just want to unwind from the hassle of everyday life or if you would like to learn more about this beautiful island, their guides are professionally trained to assist you. Saddle up and take a ride on one of the gentle, well-trained horses and enjoy the beautify beaches of southern Amelia Island! The ride is five miles, which takes approximately one hour. There is a 230-pound weight limit. The height requirement is 4’10” and all riders must be at least 12 years of age. An adult must accompany anyone under 18 years of age. No exceptions will be made. The per-person cost for this event is $135. Please check the appropriate box on the registration form.

Ritz Kids®

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island offers the Ritz Kids program, an exclusive supervised children’s program designed specifically for younger guests ages 5-12. The Ritz Kids program allows parents to play while children stay with trained and certified counselors. Each counselor is certified in infant, child and adult CPR, basic first aid and water safety. The staff takes extra care to ensure that each child enjoys a positive, rewarding experience in the Ritz Kids program. Lunch is included with the full-day program from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Lunch is 12:00-1:00 p.m. The half-day program is from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and does not include lunch. Reservations are a must; availability is limited. The full-day program fee is $85 for the first child and $75 for each additional child. Lunch is included. The half-day program fee is $55 for the first child and $50 for each additional child. An optional lunch may be included for an additional $15.
