ABI's 16th Annual Northeast Bankruptcy Conference
The 16th Annual Northeast Bankruptcy Conference will be held in conjunction with the 4th Annual Northeast Consumer Forum July 16-19 at the historic Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. This year's program offers more than 8 hours of CLE and features a roster of the best regional speakers. Outdoor enthusiasts and families can take advantage of an array of activities as well. One of the sessions will be of particular interest to the committee.
Panelists in the session "Fraud Investigations" will discuss how more fraud is revealed during troubled economic times. They will give an in-depth look into who commits fraud, how to identify fraud and the steps that should be taken after fraudulent activity has been confirmed. Marjorie Kaufman of Getzler Henrich & Associates LLC in Boston will moderate. Panelists will include Alistaire Bambach of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in New York, Hon. Gerardo Carlo of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (D. P.R.) in San Juan, Douglas E. Spelfogel of Baker & Hostetler LLP in New York and Christopher Stavrakos of Wells Fargo Business Credit, Inc. in New York.
