Committee Session At the ABI Winter Leadership Conference

The Court Administration Committee has announced its topic for presentation at the Winter Leadership Conference this December in Tucson, Arizona: "Streamlining the Chapter 11 Confirmation Process: Lessons Learned from Chapter 13"

The Court Administration Committee is looking at the chapter 13 plan confirmation process and at other matters that are handled by chapter 13 trustees outside the courtroom and whether there are issues and items as they relate to the chapter 11 plan confirmation process that can be dealt with outside the courtroom as well.

The panel will include Hon. Kevin J. Carey (U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, District of Delaware), Carl A. Eklund (Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, Denver, Colorado), Marie Ann Greenberg (Chapter 13 Trustee, District of New Jersey) and James J. Waldron (Clerk, United States Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey).

The panel members will be responding to the results of a survey sent to Court Administration Committee members and will also provide their own perspective and thoughts.
