The Employee Benefits Committee will hold a session on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. entitled "Pension Plan Liens: Nature, Scope and Peculiarities." The panel will discuss the strain on pension plans in the current economic climate and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation's role in guaranteeing plans that fail to meet their commitments. Joel N. Ruderman of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington, D.C. will moderate the session. Panelists will include Philip D. Anker of WilmerHale in New York, Gregg M. Galardi of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Wilmington, Del. and Israel Goldowitz of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington, D.C.
